Sneak peak at some ideas for Christmas!

Solid fine silver hearts which have been modelled by hand. Large CZ on one side and 'wrapped' ribbon on the other. You can wear it at any length and the idea is the hearts will be interchangeable.

Art Clay Conference in York September 16-19th

The Art Clay guild runs a conference every year. See http://www.artclyguild.co.uk/ . I think this year's programme is particularly strong with new techniques being shown- all top secret at the moment apparently!
Also, lots of opportunites for networking i.e. talking arty bollox and buying things you dont need but want!
There are hands on workshops, including yours truly doing a 3 hour slot showing techniques for polymer clay- the ultimate blank canvas. The website also has tons of information about classes, certification programmes, techniques and tips etc. I think there are places left as I type.
See you there?

Great moments in a girl's life.......

Welcome to my first ever blog post- it had to happen sooner or later. Please be patient with me as I learn the blogging ropes

It is my intention to post interesting snippets of information and lots of piccies about the world of metal clay, polymer clay, about my work, and from time to time, the bigger world outside.

Let's start with my 2 most favourite blogs/websites in the world...

First up, from Julia Rai http://www.metalclayacademy.com/ a veritable 'google' for all things metal clay; artists, suppliers, videos, events etc . New stuff is posted every single day.

And then where would we be without Cynthia Tinapple's http://www.polymerclaydaily.com/ . Again new posts every day highlighting the fabulous scope and vaiety of polymer clay work with a hugh picture library to refer to for inspiration.

There are lots more fab blogs to report on of course and I'll be flagging them up in future posts.
